In 2009 Timna initiated a new project - Photovoltaic solar plant named Metzokei Timna.
This plant stands on about 95,000 square meters and can produce 6MW of electricity.
A photovoltaic plant produces energy by using pure sunlight, utilizing the light and changing it to electric power.
Our plant consists of 20,000 solar panels and the Electricity that is produced is supplied to the IEC - Israeli national electricity grid.
In the beginning of 2014 , METZOKEI TIMNA became fully operational and is successfully producing electricity.
